The usual scenery that always catches my attention is the herd of cows along the roadside. This morning, the light was still soft, the sky gently shifting from pale blue to gold. As we drove past, they were slowly walking in a line, their hooves making quiet, steady steps on the pavement. For a moment, it felt as if they were welcoming the day with us. Of course, they were simply searching for something to munch on—grass peeking through the edges of the road, leaves within reach—but their calm presence gave the morning a peaceful rhythm.

There is something grounding about seeing them every day. In a world that often feels rushed, the cows move without hurry. They remind me that mornings do not always need to be loud or dramatic. Sometimes, they are just soft beginnings and familiar sights that make you smile.
Going to work felt quiet and quick today. The road was smooth, and the usual noise seemed gentler than usual. Maybe it was just one of those days when everything flows naturally.

At lunchtime, Luigi gathered fresh malunggay and lemongrass leaves. We cooked them with sardines, turning simple ingredients into a hot, comforting soup. The steam carried the fresh, citrusy scent of lemongrass, blending with the earthy flavor of malunggay. It was the perfect meal for a windy day—simple, nourishing, and made with what we had around us.

The afternoon became busy with work, and before I realized it, it was time to head home. The trip back felt easy. Time passed quietly, just like the morning.
Some days are not extraordinary, but they are full—of routine, warmth, and small moments that gently hold everything together.
See you tomorrow 😊
