Heat and rain are certainly familiar things in Indonesia. Especially in my area, the air can be really hot during the day. And now, in the afternoon, it can suddenly rain.
If we only think about the heat and rain, of course, we won't be able to go anywhere, and we have to quickly adapt to it, whether we like it or not.
Like this time, I was traveling by motorcycle from my husband's relative's house. It wasn't that far to get home, but I noticed the sky was already very dark.
Since I was alone, I decided to find a place to stop. I quickly searched Google Maps for the nearest cafe or restaurant. This way, I could stop comfortably. There were no public rest stops around here.
When it rains, it's usually accompanied by strong winds. So it's unsafe to ride a motorcycle, so I decided to stop before the rain really starts. Luckily, there was a small cafe located on the corner of the street. It was called "Sudut Selatan Coffee."
The small cafe had good ratings on Google Maps, so I headed there before it really started raining, as the sky was getting darker.

From the front of the cafe, we can see that it looks like an ordinary multi-story house. It has a garden in front.

I think that's a good thing. Roadside houses often offer opportunities for food and beverage businesses. Especially in this modern era, we can attract a lot of customers simply through social media.

I saw several food and beverage packages available. The cheapest package was only $1, so I opted for a donut and iced coffee.
They also offer fast Wi-Fi, which was great. At least I could save on my internet data while I was at the cafe.

I don't think this house was originally intended to be a cafe. But when it became a cafe, we can see that there's rooftop access. Steps are built into the side of the house, right outside the house

On a clear day, the rooftop of the cafe offers a beautiful view of the hills. Unfortunately, the sky was dark and it was about to rain, so I couldn't see the beautiful hills. But it didn't matter, as long as I was safe here.

This place has a neatly maintained and clean garden area, although the garden area isn't very large.

There's a small pond with beautifully colored fish, perfect for keeping your eyes from getting tired. A nice refreshment.

So, what about the food and drink package I ordered for $1? I got a strong iced coffee. Although it looks like a small cafe, they also have an espresso machine. So, they serve a delicious coffee menu, which is commendable.

The donuts are also homemade, they said, and I thought they were just the right sweetness for my taste—not overly sweet, so they were the perfect complement to the iced coffee.

On this unexpected trip, I found a cafe on the corner of a small street. For me, it brought back warm memories, even though it was a cloudy day outside. Then, it started to drizzle. A great find. ❤️❤️❤️☕
