Why do we not have a goal to feed everyone?
There are bleeding heart liberals who speak out all the time about "why do we pay for bombs, when feeding everyone would be far cheaper." They talk about things like, a small percentage of this guy's wealth would feed everyone, and many similar things. With so many people, with this same desire, why has no politician actually worked to make it reality?
That we allow people to starve is really evidence of a sick society. It is also evidence of a sick society that allows a person to say, "we should feed everyone" in a way that means, all of you do it, and not me.
We have two REALLY big problems:
- The good people have been corrupted with wrong think.
- There is a force that wants power by controlling food
The "wrong think" is people programmed to not be able to use logic. Instead to believe in magical thinking. Like, someone else, some rich, could feed all the people. And, the think that it is all these other meanies who are blocking the path to food for everyone. They believe that money can make enough food.
Money doesn't put fish on the table! Fish puts fish on the table! - The Fin (dolphin) in The Tick

Food puts food on the table
One person, growing food in their yard, in a greenhouse, can feed their own family. And if they do so, that is a family fed, that isn't relying on the food system. Who isn't taking from someone else.
If someone cared about feeding others, this is the way. You can scale up this operation, and feed a dozen families.
Imagine, instead of protesting to have more WIC/food stamps, that these people grew food to share, the actual problem could be solved.
So, if we really cared about people being fed, then we should be doing this. All of us, doing this. We should bulldoze down all the impediments in our way, and plant our flag on this hill! and victory gardens!

Money does not put food on the table
We have become sooooo used to supermarkets that most people believe that food and money are interchangeable.
But, imagine SHTF scenario (or just imagine a hurricane came through your town) the grocery store is barren within minutes. Hours maybe. In three days it is ALL GONE. No amount of money buys food from a supermarket who's shelves are cleaned out.
Further, imagine a poor African country (you don't have to imagine, you can go see it) and because food aid is shipped over there, they cannot grow their own food. This large force is giving eggs and beans out for free. Does anyone go and try to build up a farm? Can any farmer compete with free? So, in this case, money is putting food on the table, only to make people dependent on the hand outs. If the shipments stop, this whole country is going to starve.
We are entering an ice-age AND!!!! We have mined out the soil in America's farmland. (Chemical farming depletes the soil, we are not farming, we are mining) Soooo, we are going to have shorter, more brutal summers, and the depleted soil will not provide for the plants.
There will be world wide starvation if we continue on this path. The people who will have food are the people who grow their own. Who have nurtured their soil back to health. The people who only have money will not get fed.
Jim Willie has said that those who will drive Lambos in the future will be farmers. (however, both "lambos" and farmer will be drastically changed from our current view)

Evil people wanting to control people with food
There is soooo much wrong in the world, but having a group of people who want power soo much that they are willing to starve other people, is just really sick. And the Karens who empower them, really, really need to be educated.
The HOAs that block people from planting gardens.
The cities that make people jump through too many hoops, file for a business license, get certifications… to sell, and sometimes just to give away food.
Billy Gatez has boughten up a lot of farmland. He owns the land, so he can choose to not grow any food there. But, what if that decision makes a lot of people starve? Legally he can do this. It is his land after all. But that should not be legal. When people die from his plans to wipe out more people, he should face justice. But, there will be just us. And there will be a mob of people who are very angry at Gatez.
USDA and the FDA control food growth. If too much food is grown, many farmers will not be able to sell what they grew. So it is all regulated. They have legal precedence that they can come onto your property and burns your crop (wheat specifically) based on that you might sell it, and if you sell it, it might go across state lines, and therefor they can regulate what you grow on a federal level.
So many layers of bureaucracy all designed to make you dependent on those who provide food.

We will soon discover that we HAVE TO make sure everyone has land that they can grow their own food on. Sure, everyone can argue about property rights, but there is only so far that can go. Billy Gatez, if he decides to let his farm land go fallow, he needs to be stopped, VERY QUICKLY. And so, if Gatez blocks people from having land to grow food on, we must constrain that. (this will be much easier in the future as technology makes living anywhere easy)
In the future, everyone will be a part time farmer. This is actually the only way to make the system fair. If we rely on a small group of farmers for all of our food, then we get to a problem of many people not actually supporting themselves, thus becoming a burden on the system. If we limit food growth to a small percentage, and sell the food for money, then we HAVE TO make a way for EVERY person to earn money that is with their abilities. And we fail at this. We put people, and thus the world, into a catch 22. A catch 22 should not be allowed to exist in a need, in a situation where starvation is a certain outcome.
Yes, we should preserve property rights, but we also must punish murder. But, currently, we preserve property rights, and just say those deaths were "accidental" when they were planned.
The laws, and the views on property are going to change.
However, this will be after many have died.
I suggest you get your own greenhouse and start growing your own food.
And, if your goal is to not see people starve, then teach others to build their own greenhouse, and grow their own food.
