RE: Going to "Go-Gi House": A Vietnamese "Korean BBQ"

Quantity over quality. I would visit a place like this for the experience but can just imagine the food waste. We went to a normal Chinese restaurant in Portugal who advertised a buffet, but not your normal kind. You order from the menu via sticky notes corresponding to the dish numbers on the menu. I was in heaven as the food is cooked fresh to order and the eat whatever you want stops as soon as you do not finish a dish. I think we virtually tried every dish besides a couple that I did not fancy and avoided the sushi as why eat rice.

those are the best kinds of buffets. While I haven't seen one in a long time I do recall the USA Chinese buffet restaurants, it was just horrible food in that it was terribly bad for you. It would be years later that I would find out that Chinese people don't eat any of that shit. Not that they wouldn't but the whole idea of burying deep fried stuff under syrupy processed sauce isn't something the average Chinese villager aspires to. I'm sure they have their bad processed foods as well but Chinese food in USA isn't Chinese food.

Sounds disgusting and definitely a place to avoid. A good sign is seeing Chinese people as customers.
