Keeping active is very important for general health. Many people use sports centres and gyms to keep fit. Personally, I find that just cycling regularly is enough, but it depends on how fit you want to be.
Costs are also a factor in this as you have to balance finances against fitness goals. I have never been a member of a gym as it is not my thing, but I recently bought a new mountain bike which was not cheap. So fitness can be costly however you decide to do it!
