Indonesia consists of a diversity of ethnic groups that make each region have a variety of traditional foods. Like the menu that I cooked this time, namely "Yellow Rice". This dish is one of the popular dishes in Indonesia because it is a recipe inherited from the past.

Did you know, it turns out that the origin of yellow rice began during the Hindu kingdom in Indonesia, the yellow color comes from turmeric as an expression of gratitude and blessings to God Almighty. Initially, yellow rice was served by the Hindu community as a dish for the gods with the aim of asking for safety and being kept away from danger. However, after the influence of Islam entered Indonesia, yellow rice was still served as an expression of gratitude and asking for safety to God and in order to preserve culture.

Yellow rice has an authentic and savory taste and a fragrant aroma that is appetizing. The perfect taste of yellow rice comes from turmeric and various spices. Yellow rice also has a symbolic meaning that symbolizes joy and prosperity. So yellow rice is often served at celebrations to give a positive impression. Over time, yellow rice is no longer served at certain events, but can be found in everyday dishes, and now yellow rice has even been used as a breakfast menu. Well, to make it easier to cook, I use a rice cooker, so check out my recipe below...
