I think BOBF was always meant to be a placeholder, a kind of bridge for the next Mando season. It gave depth and (in my opinion) a solid story for Boba, considering the circumstances of his recent return at that period in time, but after that story was told I don't think they're prioritizing more "Boba" focused stories unless they have an opening in their show release slate
That being said I do think Boba should be in Mando s4, and should be in more Mandoverse content from here on out
The whole "Mandalore" chapter being wrapped up seemingly at the end of Mando s3 allows for different stories to be told with Din/Grogu, and Boba Fett was never an intrinsic part for the whole Mandalore saga -- now that it's finished, we could see him come back into the picture as Din/Grogu begin to do other things
They have Temuera Morrison right now who isn't getting younger, and is still willing and capable to play the character. I think it would be a big missed opportunity if they don't take advantage of him and the fact that Boba Fett has an easy "in" to any Mandalorian story they want to tell from here on out, just by the fact alone that in-universe, Boba and Din have an established comradery and history of helping each other out.
