Those kicks in the head, and anywhere else, have value as you will attest to. The sad thing is that many don't learn the lessons and keep perpetuating the same mistakes. We never stop learning, or should never.
What surprises me a lot of times is how people get kicked, jet refused to learn, and then complain about getting kicked over and over again. Even friends of mine. I've become quite allergic to that, either shutting down or asking bluntly: "So, what you're going to do about it?"
Sometimes it works. Mostly it doesn't.
Yeah, the whinging...but not followed up with action and change. I'm the same, I repell those types of people. No time for it.
