Hi Hive Friends! Hope you are hungry this time as I share my home made lumpiang Shanghai and Lumpiang Gulay (also known as "vegetable spring roll" as it doesn't contain meat) with you.
Filipino Lumpiang Shanghai is very salable here in Hong Kong because it's really so yummy, especially with sukang maanghang na sawsawan (spicy vinegar dipping sauce).
Hmmmm, but it is also good for Pansit Bihon and even for Pork Adobo. Also many dishes simply taste much better when served together with lumpiang shanghai!
It's often served on occasions like birthdays and other parties.
I feel home like being in Philippines when I am making Lumpiang Shanghai which is one of the reasons why it is one of my favorite dishes!
To make spring rolls is easy but takes lots of time because to wrap the filling requires quite some patience.
The main ingredients I use to prepare Lumpiang Shanghai are: lumpia wrapper, pork mince and chopped carrots.
Prepare the Lumpiang Gulay without meat. Instead of that just choose any kind of vegetables (cut in small pieces) and wrap them with lumpia wrapper.
At the end just deep-fry them.
And now enjoy my lumpia, hehe!
Greetings from the chef, hehe!
