Ooh! I am so glad that you like your fancy new potato fork😊 And what a haul of garlic and potatoes! 2lbs per row foot is awesome!!! I still have a week or two before I can dig my Red Pontiacs, but I am super looking forward to seeing the end result!

Yesterday's cloud cover was pretty fortuitous, but after pulling weeds in the garden and rock garden in it, I am pretty sure we were similar in resemblance. Let's just say I am soo happy that my water comes out of the ground at 40 degrees 😆

Hope today was a bit more pleasant for ya, I got to dig up the lid to my septic tank....It's always something lol!

I think I liked the clouds better than this sun today. It has forced me to setup the fans in the house to better move the cool air around so there is that plus. I still have 90 spots of my reds to dig then hundreds of yellows that are about a week out. The freeze dryer is going to be getting a work out for sure!

Hope your lid is marked and easy to find, sometimes they vanish...

I hope you got all those reds out, and yep, the lid was pieces of cake, the hubs dug right to the handle lol!

You are freeze drying the taters? I think that's a genius plan, especially for the small ones!

I'm just happy we are on the back side of that heat wave, yesterday was brutal, my poor plants are angry!

Oh yeah, all my kole crops fall out mid day in the heat, it's rather sad to see. My peas have gone to seed now and I have bolting greens. But the potatoes are still doing well. I still have 90 spots of reds to dig then the rest will all be yellow with a LOT more yellow than red. The red don't store as long so work better for the freeze dryer so I will be doing hash browns shreds and mashed potatoes which should break them all down pretty well for storage.
