Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Butter
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Essence
- 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Tablespoon Custard Powder
- 1 Cup Flour
Method
-Add butter and vanilla to bowl, mix well with fork.
-In blender (Or with stick blender*) blend the sugar and custard powder, to create a fine sugar (or just use caster sugar if you can't be bothered, I prefer doing it this way because I find it gives the biscuits a better texture and flavour.)
-Add sugar to butter and mix with fork.
-Add flour
-Mix till dough forms.
-Roll dough into long log (about 2.5cm) on some tinfoil. Place in freezer for 15 minutes.
-Cut into 1.5mm thick slices
-Arrange on baking paper/tinfoil, leaving enough space for biscuits to spread slightly. Bake at 155 C/ 310 F for 20 minutes, flipping after 10 minutes, or till golden brown on both sides.
-Left mine in for a little bit too long, oops.
*Note: If using a stick blender, cover top of container with a cloth or something to catch the sugar dust...you do not want to be breathing in sugar dust!
