Japanese culinary traditions are becoming increasingl throughout the world, which is why that Japan offers food that's easily accept by the palate. Absolutely! The delicious taste comes from not only skill in chef, cooking, but also the quality of the ingredients.
There's almost no Japanese dish that fails (in my opinion) because my palate has begin to appreciate how quality ingredients are paramount in all Japanese cuisine. When its comes to the famous Japanese food (sushi sashimi), use the best ingredients and fresh fish is the key. Can you imagine how sushi would taste if it used less fresh fish? It would be disgusting, right?
Because quality ingredients is priority, the prices are also not cheap. Even scramble eggs at Japanese restaurants expensive if you compared to local restaurants. But, now im wrong.. I found a restaurant that's delicious, quite affordable, and have a complete menu!
It doesn't actually serve strictly Japanese food, but they do have some very Japanese style dish. Common Folks is not olny a fancy cafe serve coffee, it also offers a variety of pastry, Japanese style food, and much more menu.
This dinner is my first time here because I am not even sure about this cafe. Seriously, this cafe has been around for a while, but I don't know why i just interested in Japanese food, but my friend suggest to it might be an option.
Of course, it was amazing! The Japanese-style food really caught my eye. Chicken katsu bowl with rice and aromatic truffle beef gyudon. Wonderful taste, bite by bite. Of course, the gyudon beef is made with wagyu (but not premium wagyu). It's delicious, umami, and tender.
Even though it was late, I had coffee because there was an attractive promotion for a bottle of this cold brew. Never mind, it's okay to just have coffee tonight :D, because the promo bundle with salted bread and garlic cheese was something I couldn't resist, seriously.
The place is also warm and cozy. When I got a table, it's not too crowded, but after our food almost finish, suddenly a crowd of people came in and ordered. No wonder this place remains people's choice because, as mentioned earlier, the food is delicious and the coffee is also top notch!
Call me Isdarmady, sometimes Mady, Putra or anything you want. I have a pretty long name but call me very nicely. There are many things I like, especially hydroponics and coffee, sometimes I also like traveling and eating whatever I want. Life should be like that, there must be many things you like so you can live well. Of course, what you want is a dream, so, when you have a dream then what you have to do is to achieve that dream, don't just let it be a dream.
