Hey there, fellow foodies! Lately, I've been craving for meat, either pork or beef. So after work, my officemates and I went to Pearl Meat Shop, a samgyupsal restaurant in Banilad Cebu City.

It's actually my first time trying their meat and side dishes. Compared to other samgyupsal restaurant where the meat and side dishes are being served, this meat shop is a self serving type of restaurant.

Their side dish includes pancakes, kimchi, banana cue, fried sweet potatoes, kimchi rice, and many more. Their selection of meat is abundant too. I've learned that beef taste more tender than pork so we ate more beef than pork.

My favorite is their kimchi rice as it goes really well with samgyupsal beef. Its also my first time to try kimchi pancakes. Ive only seen them in Korean cooking shows or mukbangs.

However, there are some side dishes that I didn't eat because I didn't find them appetizing such as the teokboki, steamed eggs, and some sauteed veggies. I focused on what I'm here for-which is the meat.

For the price, Pearl Meat Shop is quite cheaper than other Samgyupsal restaurants. But their meat and side dishes are just the same in taste.

It was past 8pm when we finished dinner. We were supposed to eat some ice cream for dessert in the nearby grocery store but unfortunately it's already closed. So we just walk around, since we are still so full from dinner.

Outside the restaurant, you will be enchanted with this beautiful lighting in the pedestrian crossing.

Although, I can see that their kitchenwares are quite old and weary, compared to other restaurants that are aesthetically pleasing, what matters is their delicious meat and side dishes.

For my rating, I give this restaurant a 4/5.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light

With love,

That looks delicious

It is :)

I'd go every single day to a restaurant that served good kimchi 😁💕

Seems like you had a good time with good food though no dessert--perhaps next time! 😎

Hmm. Maybe you can try making kimchi at home. Ive tried it and its quite easy to do. I love kimchi too :)

It's been really long since I ate pancakes, I wish there was somewhere I could buy it.

Or you can make it at home :) sometimes, when i crave something and i know how to cook it at home, ill just make myself one. Haha

That's the problem, I don't know how to make it.
