Hello dear Hivers,
After mass, my brother picked me up at around 6:30 PM, and we headed straight to Naga. On our way there, we started to wonder why the traffic was extremely heavy. Cars were barely moving, and the road was literally bumper to bumper. We still didn’t know what was going on, so we just assumed there might have been an accident or maybe road construction.
When we finally reached Naga, that’s when everything made sense. The place was overflowing with people! We couldn’t even find a single parking spot. Their parking area is usually huge, but that night it was completely full. It turned out that a massive crowd had gathered to witness the lighting of the Christmas Tree and the dazzling Christmas lights display. The entire city felt alive—full of excitement, holiday spirit, and cheerful families taking photos and enjoying the event.
Since we were already starving and there was no hope of finding parking, we decided to head back toward our area and look for a place to eat instead. On our way home, we passed by a restaurant called Cebuano Restaurant. We decided to check it out, thinking it might be a good option for dinner. To our surprise, the prices were very affordable considering how nice the place looked. The exterior had a warm, inviting glow, and when we went inside, we immediately fell in love with the ambiance.

The restaurant has a beautiful native-style theme, giving off that comforting Filipino provincial atmosphere—simple yet elegant, cozy yet lively. The interior design felt refreshing because it incorporated natural elements like bamboo, wood, and warm lighting. It felt like the kind of place where you could relax after a long day.

We ordered our food, and everything we tried was delicious. The flavors were authentic, and the serving portions were satisfying. What made the experience even better was the presence of an acoustic band playing live music while we ate. The songs were soothing and added a perfect touch to the evening. It wasn’t too loud either—just the right volume to make diners feel relaxed and entertained.

Aside from the ambiance and the good food, we were also impressed by the restaurant’s service. The staff and crew were friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. They served the food faster than we expected, and they made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. That level of service really adds to the overall dining experience.

So if you ever happen to visit Naga City, make sure not to miss this very cozy and affordable place—the Cebuano Restaurant. Whether you’re visiting for the famous Christmas Tree lighting, exploring the city, or simply passing by, this restaurant is definitely worth a stop. It’s a perfect combination of good food, great ambiance, friendly people, and a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!
Thank you and watch out for my next blog because I’ll be showing you the beautiful lights, Christmas trees, and decorations. You will truly be amazed by their place. And if you’re worried about where to eat—nah, don’t worry! The food and drinks there are very affordable. So stay tuned so you can see just how wonderful the Naga City Boardwalk really is.
