Who here says no to fresh delicious fruits? Well I don't.
Along the road to my work place was a fruit shop which sells various fruits. They once started small but now they had grown 5times much bigger! Well, I usually do not come to their shop because I do not buy fruit that much and rely on he farm harvested bananas my mother had.
But one day, a co-worker invited me and three more co-workers to go to the fruit shop and won't accept my decline so I went. I was hoping to have fruit eventually and just went wih them besides, it would be free.
The shop was on the highway and the various fruits were on display to attract passerbys.
Upon arriving, I immediately noticed the ripe mangoes which is very pleasant to the eyes; oh, I dreamt of having as many mangoes as this one to eat and make many kinds of delicious dessert with it including mango float and dried mangoes. And the good thing is that one kilo of mango only costs 100 pesos at the moment; that's less than two dollars unlike on high demand season like Christmas and new year when the price goes upto 160 pesos per kilo.
Another thing that caught my attention was the durian fruit. When my husband was still working on an orchard, he used to bring durain fruit that fell from the tree too soon from harvest season. I was pregnant back then and it was one of the best days of my life. I had as much durian as I want and it was for free.
The Cherry apples called for attention too, I had my first bite on it when someone bought it and gave for free in the workplace and it was delicious! A bit sour but also sweet, a perfect harmony of flavor that dances in the mouth in every bite.
But the fruit that caught my attention was these grapes, and they. Seem irresistible yet I purposely did not bring moeny so I would not buy fruits and spend out of my budget which I usually fo when i had money with me and this strategy is always effective to prevent me from being an impulsive buyer.
As I got myself busy with taking pictures of the fuits I liked, wwll there were many fruits in the shop like papaya, water melon, peanuts and more,y co workers were already busy having their fruit salad and handed me my share
There were three sizes which costs 10, 15, and 20 pesos per cup and to some of heir guests who come often, they would grant another cup up thw sweet salad soup.
The fruit salad was delicious and each cup consists of water melon, mango, apples grapes and was sweetened my sugar, evaporated milk and was added some water, and ice for a bit of refreshment. I bet the fruits they used on the salad were the ones that are nearly or a bit rotten to save it.
Anyway, I had a cough and it had been with me for over a wek now and I decided to buy lemon and had a lemon and hot water at work. It was our but bearable, and I loved the smell of the lemon on my water.
