Hey, everyone! It's @makiyumee here and today, I am about to share to you a new blog that delves into some of my memories before I entered my internship as a graduating student. So, sit back and relax as we go down to memory lane and relive these precious moments.

It was almost sunset when we arrived at Artea in Kawit, Medellin. We were so busy at the campus earlier that day after compiling all our requirements that were needed before we got to be deployed to our designated partner schools. When we arrived at Artea, I was quick enough to borrow their menu and distribute it to my friends. I was really craving to eat something that afternoon and thinking about it makes me chuckle. Hunger can really make us do ridiculous things beyond our imagination.

Each of us picked what we wanted to eat while also talking about how our day went as we prepared out requirements. I was so stressed that day because there were some problems regarding requirements and I thought I was not going to finish all of it within the day. Good thing my friends helped me, though it was stressful, but we still managed to finish it before dismissal time and we all passed out requirements together without leaving no one behind.

Looking through the menu, I decided my usual go-to food which was Artea's downgrade purple milk tea and a kiddie-sized spaghetti. I just really love their spaghetti, I can't get enough of it. I love how the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was just right when it comes to its sweetness and sourness. Even the amount for its kiddie size was just right. My friends ordered their usuals too, they did not forget to include their favorite milk tea flavors also. There were a lot of new dishes to try and we decided to why not try it since it was just affordable and also there were a lot of us who can finish the dishes and not waste it.

While my friends decided to try and order more different dishes, I used this time to appreciate the view of the sea that was just in front of us. The scenery was enough to make me feel calm and at peace. The way how the waves would crash onto the shore like it was hugging and chasing after the sand, how the breeze would make me feel so cool and refreshed, and the scent was enough to make me feel alive and energized. It was like the sea had this healing ability to erase all the fatigue I was feeling that day. I guess the saying about how nature can heal us was true all along.

After we had finalized our orders, the waiter gave our orders to the chef and we waited for it to be served. While waiting, I played Mobile Legends with my friends while also listening to some latest rumors and gossips from my friends. Of course, those kind of talks won't disappear whenever your whole circle of friends are present. I was multitasking, reacting and replying about their talk here and then focusing on defeating an enemy there. I really had quite the busy line that moment and I was really having fun.

It wasn't long when our orders arrived one by one. The waiter was also very generous to give us extra spoons and fork, seeing that we were a lot and wanted to try all of the foods that we ordered without sharing utensils. The first to be served were the French Fries with ham and cheese, then the next one was the Nachos with lots of cucumber and cheese, and then a lot more came in.

The sight was making me salivate and I couldn't resist taking pictures of it. When our drinks came in last, I was really proud of what the chefs and baristas of Artea did. They did a good job at preparing the beverages. They all looked so pretty and delicious. Soon, we dug in our meals and also enjoyed how it tasted along with our conversations.

That day, we talked about how we should prepare ourselves to face the real world. We readied ourselves for what was to come during our internship period that was going to last for around 2 months. We also wished that our mentors would be flexible and not so strict with us since we were still future teachers in training. Though for me, it was really okay to have a strict mentor since we can learn a lot from him or her.

As we got deeper into our talks and laughs, the sun finally sets, the sky turned orange and rose gold, the sea became calm and the atmosphere seemed to become quiet. Soon, our voices turned hushed as we talked about how beautiful the scenery was. We admired it for a long time before deciding to take a picture. All of us smiled on camera as each click of the shutter captured that moment. Every laugh and smile seemed to froze in time as we checked the photos later on.

It's funny how that one peaceful day can hold so many memories. Our pre-internship bonding at Artea was not just a tiny break because it almost kind of like was a simple yet meaningful celebration of our friendship, our youth, and everything that we will miss once we get to enter the real world where life is full of so many challenges.

It was already evening when we all decided to go home. I waited for a bus ride home and when I got on the bus, I said my goodbyes to my friends before the bus finally left on the road to home. Until now, my memory of that day still remained in my mind and in my heart.

That would be all for this blog! I hope you enjoyed reading it. May God bless you all and I'll see you all on the next one!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!.gif
