Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday we had plenty of time in the early afternoon, so we tried to get back into our long forest walks routine. We first stopped behind the front yard, it looks so different from before my trip!
We were hoping Le Chat would join us there for some exploration, but I realized later she was actually chilling inside the house. That didn't stop Kaia from doing her own exploration.
On the way to the forest, we met a few local squirrels. I guess those are the late ones, still looking for acorns before real winter is here.
As soon as we got to the forest, Kaia went back into exploration mode of course.
But it took her a minute to catch these two big bucks' scent, just enough time for me to snap a photo before the big chase.
Like I said, we had more time than usual, so we followed the trails all the way to the teepees, it had been a while.
Of course, Kaia had to visit and check out all of them one by one, nothing to report!
The scenery in the forest also really changed since before my trip, but it's funny to still find areas with lots of green.
We walked some more, meeting a few other dog walkers for once, and in addition to a couple more deer, we found a few mushrooms. I guess it's probably a good time to find plenty of them.
That was a good walk, but we had to finally walk back home, because in the evening, we had a show to go to at the Detroit Opera House. Something called Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, kind of a parody of ballet dance shows, especially Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky. Dance shows are not my favorite but I guess the comedic side was okay. It was pretty cool to walk in Detroit by night too, lots of people everywhere.
And that was it for the day. As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
