Last night I got a badge, a special one that you can only get from @hivebuzz. A badge that is happy, sparkling and sweet, with a number on a cake... do you know what kind of a gift it is?

In my case, it shows the number five.
I should have learned over the years that this event should be celebrated with a special post on that day - your Hive birthday - and that you should invite your Hive friends to a virtual party, but yesterday was a very long and difficult day for us. We got home around 10 p.m. and felt very tired and exhausted. I also had a headache, which has intensified today. However, this badge thingy can't wait another day... today is the first of the month, and that means... a new theme for the Hive Collectors community! 😃
I think my fifth Hive anniversary badge gave me the idea for the following topic:
Badge collections!
My collection is not too large compared to those who collect badges; they can achieve a very large number of these items. If a badge is rare or special, it can have great value too among collectors.
When we were young (teenagers), it was common to collect badges and wear them on our clothes or backpacks, but from those times, I have none left. I have moved a few times, and I guess I didn't remember to keep them.
My current collection is a mix of badges and brooches, but there is a difference between the two. Badges can show our beliefs, or musical taste, representing our favourite band for example, and also express a thought or send a message. The brooches are just a decorative detail, a piece of jewellery on our clothes. They can give an elegant touch to our outfit.

I am very proud of this little Hive badge in my collection! 😇 The Cripto Murcia is a badge my husband got at one crypto event held in the city of Murcia. Liketu is actually not a badge but a PopSocket that you can attach to the back of your phone, but I have found it in the same drawer, so it comes here haha. It was also an item my husband brought from one Hive Meetup. Telas Buenas is a shop that sells fabrics. My son got it when he bought a piece of fabric there.

Now the brooches... Each of them was a gift from someone, usually from students - that is why almost all of them are music-related brooches. Just the big, blue one is not a musical sign, but a butterfly. I hope you can see his eyes and antennas.

Here, the badges and brooches are all displayed together on one curtain, because it was too much to put them all on one shirt! 😂
However, one was missing from the collection. A few minutes after I took these photos, I asked my son if he had any badges... Of course he has!! 😱 ... and I forgot about it.

That is why the cute (and probably annoying for many hahaha) Nyan Cat is coming in a separate photo!

I hope you like the new monthly theme and have a few badges...? I would be glad to see them! 😇
