Hello everyone π
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas time, for those who celebrate it. And I truly wish you all a Happy New Year!
The other day I was about to write a post and I found a draft which I forgot about and which I started writing 2 months ago. So I said to finish it now, otherwise... another two months will pass. π
I'm not that happy about this because I had planned to write so many articles this December and I almost shared nothing...Nothing about festive times, festive foods, travel and Christmas markets around Europe, etc. Well, I guess now I'll have to wait until next year.
However, I hope you'll enjoy this post as well...AND...if you're around Vancouver, I think this place looks nice even in December.
Deep Cove is a small beautiful seaside village in North Vancouver, around 13 km from downtown.
It is also the name of a small bay besides the town.
Generally speaking, it's a well known location for its recreational outdoor activities, being sourrounded by mountains, forests, skiing and hiking destinations.
Deep Cove, or Deepwater as it was first known, is a traditional clamming and fishing area of the Tsleil-Waututh nation who lived in the area. British and Spanish naval explorers scouted Indian Arm in the late eighteenth century, and by the mid-nineteenth century, whales were being caught and flensed on the Cove's shores.

Honey Doughnuts and Goodies in Deep Cove
Let's just start with the best here.
Thaaaa thaaaa!! π₯²π©
We knew this doughnut coffee shop is the real thing around this place. It is really really famous so we wanted to take this opportunity and try it out.
Back then I wasn't paying too much attention to the details, but I do remember the vibe here and the tasty doughnuts!
We had a Caesar Salad, simple but delicious at that point.
We've had a coffee and a doughnut each. I think mine was with cinnamon and brown sugar. I think!π
The place has an unique style, we felt really cozy and besides, it was my husband's birthday, and I think the Honey Doughnuts made our day even more fabulous!

Passing by through the main street
When we got here, it was a bit cloudy, as you can see in the images.
But even so, you could see that this small area around Vancouver is really beautiful, clean, with luxurios vegetation and definitely worth visiting.
We parked our car somewhere on the street, in a parking place and then we took a small walk until we reached the bay. This small village has a few nice and attractive cafès, ohhh how I want to go back again!

Deep Cove Bay
Deep Cove is a popular small boat centre, with a Rowing Club, kayak rentals and lessons, and a marina. The bay in front of the community is one of the few in Indian Arm which has both a sheltering shape and the shallow bottom required for overnight anchorage of pleasure vessels.
Deep Cove became a popular summer resort for Vancouver residents in the 1910s, with cabins, logging, and granite quarrying featured in the local history. For many years, the focal point of the community included a yacht club, dance hall, and general store.

I think Deep Cove is a picturesque location where you can have both a relaxing time and fun too. The bay is perfect for photographs, too bad it was cloudy outside. I would have loved to see it on a bright sunny day. βοΈ
It's one of the many places here in Vancouver where you can go and feel one with the nature, if you're taking a walk around the bay or go kayaking, hiking or boating. Or simply spending your time around the bay, gazing at the sun.
The deep blue water and the mountains in front of you takes your breath away, thats for sure. π

The Park near the Bay
There's also a little park right in front of the bay, with green luxury and vibrant nature. I loved this small park here. π
In the park there's a picnic shelter, a playground for kids and a lot of green. ππ²π΄π³
I've read that here are happening many events and concerts too.
I know this place is not too WoooooWwwww kind of place compared with others in this whole world, but all places I got to visit in Canada, included this, will stay with me for eternety AND I treasure all these moments in this part of the world.
It was my first time coming to Canada and thats what makes it special. It was not too long after we got married. Also I found out I'm pregnant (in Canada) and this entire trip of 2 months was something to dream about.
I was in another world different than mine, no worries and no stress, I was first time pregnant, I was much younger, I lived a lot of new experiences and I was living all this with the love of my life.We were young and crazy and in love. I think you can imagine why I love it here. Sweet Memories in and around the city of Vancouver. πππ
