We all have freedom here as stated near the beginning of our conversation. Do I need to affirm your freedom in order for it to be so? Not anymore than I need to affirm the freedom of those you said are building "enemies lists". Freedom is acknowledged and established as fact.

Sort:

No, we do not to affirm it. It exists. We also do not have to agree that the freedom of others is a problem. Hive is not being endangered by those who need to earn a living here ... that's provably not pushing inflation or the price drops we have seen.

Who said it was? Not me. Not the OP as far as I can tell. Maybe I missed something. Who are you arguing against?

"Can Hive support a user base that is 80% frequent extractors? Probably not, but it's a good thing that most of us stack and stake more than we take." That was what you said -- and it is a theory held by MANY who just see extractors, not people.

But nowhere in there did I say that Hive was 80% extractors. In fact, I said the opposite. Furthermore, saying it probably couldn't support that hypothetical user base has more to do with stability of the network than with a healthy price for speculators.

For you, it IS THEORETICAL. I'll accept that. I'm telling you the line is pushed as a working theory by many NOT YOU -- and you sense the intensity of my "arguments" with them. However, in terms of stability of the network, I am willing to consider that theoretically...

My part of this discussion is technical. Even if the humanity of the individuals in that hypothetical situation is overtly affirmed, the network would still face the same challenges.

One of the things that makes hive special is its inclusion of normies but balance is needed.

OK ... if it is theoretical, no such challenge yet exists, but the humans do ... and who gets to be the gatekeeper in a decentralized space to determine what the balance is, and who is responsible for being fair to the new people so they know what is expected?

... and that long before that, there would be data to show that was a thing. I did not know to look before today, and I appreciate the viewpoint.

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for the conversation. I'm off to bed. Good night.

You're welcome, and thank you. Have a wonderful night!
