Photographs of an unexpected cat [Eng/Esp]

Sometimes some pictures come out of the most spontaneous way possible and these are an example of that. A couple of days ago I heard the meowing of a cat I didn't recognize and when I went out to check I found this little guy, who was trying to call a bigger cat. I thought it was very cute and also very friendly, because I tried to approach it and it didn't move away. After a couple of minutes, he was ready to lie down on the sidewalk, so I looked for my camera to take some pictures of him and these are the ones I want to share with you today.

A veces algunas fotografías surgen de la manera más espontánea posible y estas son ejemplo de ello. Hace un par de días escuché el maullido de un gato que no reconocí y cuando salí a revisar me encontré con este pequeño, el cual estaba intentando llamar a una gata más grande. Me pareció muy tierno y además muy amigable, porque intenté acercarme y no se alejó. Luego de un par de minutos, se dispuso a acostarse en la acera, por lo que busqué mi cámara para hacerle algunas fotografías y estas son las que quiero compartirles el día de hoy.

There is something about cat portraits that I really like, so when I have the opportunity to take pictures of a cat, I don't miss it. What I find curious is that I was not really a cat lover at the beginning, but everything changed when I adopted a cat almost 10 years ago and since then she awoke that love in me for felines. I understand that to many people they may seem to be very bitter or surly and certainly many are, but there are others that are really very tender. I guess it's all a matter of building trust with the kitty.

Los retratos a los gatos tienen algo que me gusta mucho, por eso, cuando tengo la oportunidad de hacerle fotografías a un gato, no las desaprovecho. Lo que me parece curioso es que, yo realmente no era un amante de los gatos al principio, pero todo cambió cuando adopté a una gata hace ya casi 10 años y desde entonces despertó ese amor en mí por los felinos. Entiendo que a muchas personas pueden parecerles que son muy amargados o ariscos y ciertamente muchos lo son, pero hay otros que realmente son muy tiernos. Supongo que todo es cuestión de crear confianza con el minino.

The eyes of cats are very striking, because these can look very intimidating or very tender. I guess this also determines a little bit the personality of the cat or at least the situation it is in. For these photographs I just wanted to bring out the surrounding colors a bit more and also give more brightness and sharpness to our protagonist, which I must say is very striking on his own. In some photographs I made closer cuts so that you can appreciate the amount of detail in both his fur and eyes. Undoubtedly, they are photos that I have loved.

Los ojos de los gatos son muy llamativos, porque estos pueden verse muy intimidantes o muy tiernos. Supongo que esto también determina un poco la personalidad del gato o al menos la situación en la que se encuentra. Para estas fotografías solo quise resaltar un poco más los colores de alrededor y también dar más brillo y nitidez a nuestro protagonista, el cual debo decir que es muy llamativo por su propia cuenta. En algunas fotografías hice cortes más cercanos para que se aprecie la cantidad de detalle tanto en su pelaje como en sus ojos. Sin duda, son unas fotos que me han encantado.
