Portraits of competitors in freestyle event [Eng/Esp]

Last week I attended a freestyle event and, as usual, I like to go and enjoy the battles, but I also enjoy taking some pictures throughout the event. Most of the time I like to share pictures of moments when the battles are taking place, because you can appreciate these moments of true spontaneity, where the faces of the competitors perfectly reflect the emotions they are feeling, but this time I wanted to do something different, so I was calling each competitor outside the battles to take some pictures and I want to share these pictures with you today.

La semana pasada asistí a un evento de freestyle y, como es de costumbre, me gusta ir a disfrutar de las batallas, pero también disfruto haciendo algunas fotografías en todo el desarrollo del evento. En la mayoría de ocasiones me gusta compartir fotografías de momentos cuando se están realizando las batallas, porque se pueden apreciar estos momentos de verdadera espontaneidad, donde los rostros de los competidores reflejan perfectamente las emociones que están sintiendo, pero en esta oportunidad quise hacer algo distinto, por lo que fui llamando a cada competidor fuera de las batallas para hacerles algunas fotografías y quiero compartirles estas fotografías el día de hoy.

As I mentioned at the beginning, I usually take pictures inside the battles, but I liked the idea of taking pictures outside the battles, because this clearly allows each competitor to be better prepared for a photo, besides, I also wanted to take these pictures with the intention of each competitor to have a picture for their own use, either to update a picture in their networks or just to have a good picture, it is a way to also support these competitors to somehow look more professional for any moment.

Como bien mencioné al principio, acostumbro a hacer fotografías dentro de las batallas, pero me gustó la idea de hacer fotografías fuera de las batallas, porque esto claramente le permite a cada competidor el estar mejor preparado para una foto, además, también quise hacer estas fotografías con la intención de que cada competidor tuviese una fotografía para uso propio, ya sea para actualizar alguna fotografía en sus redes o simplemente tener una buena fotografía, es una manera de apoyar también a estos competidores a que de alguna manera puedan verse más profesionales para cualquier momento.

For the edition of these photographs I used a similar style in each one, although perhaps a little variation can be appreciated, but this also depends on the light, the change of place and also the clothes of each participant, but even so I tried to make them have some complicity, since they are part of the same collection. Likewise, I didn't have to make any major correction in the photographs, since I took the pictures in the afternoon and with the sun that had perfectly illuminated the scenery for the photos and that is one of the reasons why I love to take advantage of the afternoon light.

Para la edición de estas fotografías utilicé un estilo similar en cada una, aunque quizás se aprecien un poco de variación, pero esto depende también de la luz, el cambio de lugar y también la ropa de cada participante, pero aun así intenté que tuviesen cierta complicidad, ya que son parte de una misma colección. De igual manera, tampoco tuve que hacer mayor corrección en las fotografías, ya que las fotos las hice en la tarde y con el sol que había iluminado a la perfección el escenario para las fotos y esa es una de las razones por las que me encanta aprovechar la luz de la tarde.
