Urap pulut jagung is one of the traditional dishes that has been passed down from generation to generation. If corn is usually made into urap, I combine sticky rice with corn enjoyed with roasted peanuts and steamed grated coconut. Simple but believe me this is a very tasty sweet food. The combination of sticky rice, corn, peanuts and also grated coconut makes it have an authentic flavor that you will never find in other sweet dishes.

Well this sticy rice corn is often served at certain events in our area. It is usually enjoyed on the eve of wedding celebrations, as well as large family gatherings. Besides having different characteristics, this sticky corn dish also has a very soft texture.

Well, sticky rice corn is synonymous with white sticky rice, but because I was curious about sticky corn made from black glutinous rice, I wanted to try it this time. Curious about the recipe, let's take a look at the following step by step.

Ingredients Used

200 grams of black glutinous rice
100 grams of corn
100 grams of grated coconut
100 peanuts
50 grams of sugar
1 teaspoon salt

Making Procedure

Step 1

Soak the glutinous rice for about 1 hour in water then after soaking, wash it thoroughly then put it in a cooking pan.

Step 3

Next, put approximately 300 ml of water into the cooking pan. Next add a little salt approximately ¼ teaspoon then turn on the stove and cook while stirring so that the sticky rice does not stick to the pan.

Step 4

Then while cooking I steamed grated coconut in a container, also add pandan leaves so that the aroma of grated coconut is fragrant.

Serving Suggestion

Serve the sticky rice corn in a serving plate then add the grated coconut, and also the coarsely chopped peanuts, now for the grated coconut you can add a little sugar and salt. I usually add salt only, then add sugar to the dish.

It tastes very good, sweet and savory and the corn flavor is very good when chewed together with sticky rice. I think this is a very easy dish to make and also very tasty. The texture of the sticky rice is very soft because it is soaked first and cooked twice so it is not hard at all.

I think this corn sticky rice is a very popular traditional dish and also very tasty.

Wow, I just found out about this recipe, sis. I often go to Aceh but have never found culinary like this, sis. I'm also curious about the taste, sis.

We often make it during certain events in our village, urap ketan being the best alternative.

Usually urap is served with spiced coconut with tumeric, but this time it's very different, right?

Really, we used to enjoy urap ketang without coconut milk.

As always your dishes looks super beautiful and tasty 😋😋

Thank you my friend 🥰
