Today in Indonesia, especially in Aceh, there is a tradition of megan, what is megan? Megan is a tradition of eating meat before the fasting month of Ramadhan 1445 Hijri, which is done for 2 days and every megan day all the people of Aceh will buy meat to eat with their families at home, just like my family, in the morning we went to the market to buy 2 kilo grams of beef that will be cooked on this megan day, and I also bought beef ribs and the plan is that I will cook beef bone soup, of course I will also share the beef bone recipe with you later. Hehehe
Well, here I will first share the beef rendang recipe with all of you, especially for the beef rendang lovers, then tomorrow I will share the delicious and sweet beef bone soup recipe.
Materials used
1 kg of coconut milk
100 grams of red chili
50 grams of dry red chili
200 grams of red onion
5 cloves of garlic
1 tbsp palm sugar
1 tbsp tamarind
A few bay leaves
2 stalks of lemongrass
2 thumbs galangal
1 leaf stalk of orange belly.
Method of manufacture
Cut all the fine spices, such as chili, onion, galangal, and lemongrass into small pieces, so that they fit in the blender, for the lemongrass, don't blend all of them, leave 1 stick to be sauteed with slices of red onion and leaves later.then blend the spices until smooth, then mix them into the meat,and coconut milk, I already salted and limed the meat before.

prepare the ingredients for stir-frying, namely sliced shallots, 1 stick of lemongrass and a few sheets of dun salam. stir-fry in a little oil until wilted

My style beef rendang is ready, friends, yes, I didn't add salt to the rendang, the problem is that I already marinated the meat with salt and lime first, and if I add more salt while cooking, I'm afraid it will be salty. But Alhamdulillah this is very suitable, not salty and not bland, the spices are also very tasty
It tastes like the usual rendang taste, which is spicy, savory and rich in spices, eaten directly with warm rice, it's very good, and kapi also immediately takes the warm rice and immediately enjoys it with the family at home.
