How is everyone doing today? I hope you’re all having a beautiful and peaceful day wherever you are. Today I just want to share something simple but very special to me. It wasn’t a grand celebration or an expensive date. It was just one of those quiet moments that unexpectedly touches your heart.
Sometimes, love shows up in the simplest ways.
Earlier, I received these lovely flowers. Seeing them instantly made me smile. I wasn’t expecting anything at all, so it felt even more special. The bouquet was wrapped in this cute newspaper-style paper, which made it look vintage and classy. The flowers were so fresh and soft looking they felt like a gentle reminder that even ordinary days can turn beautiful in a second.
And that wasn’t all.
Jave didn’t just give me flowers… he also cooked for me. 🥺 He prepared creamy spaghetti, and not just plain spaghetti, it had hotdogs, creamy sauce, and even grated cheese on top. Plus, there was a crispy fried chicken on the side! When I saw the plate, it honestly looked like something you’d order in a café.
There’s something extra sweet about someone cooking for you. It’s not just about the food, it’s about the effort. The time. The thought. The intention. You can really feel it.
The spaghetti was creamy and rich, perfectly mixed with the sauce. The hotdogs added that familiar, comforting Filipino-style flavor that we all grew up loving. And the cheese on top? It just made everything better. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside perfect partner for the pasta.
While eating, I couldn’t help but smile. It felt like one of those “core memory” moments. Nothing fancy. Just good food, flowers, and a heart that feels appreciated.
We took a photo outside while I was holding the bouquet. I didn’t even plan to take pictures, but I’m glad we did. Photos like that capture not just faces, but feelings. And when I look at that picture, I don’t just see flowers, I see effort, love, and kindness.
Life can be stressful sometimes. We have responsibilities, bills, chores, and so many things to think about. But moments like this remind me that it’s important to pause and appreciate the small joys. Not everything has to be big to be meaningful.
Today, I felt loved. Today, I felt grateful. And today, I felt reminded that simple gestures can mean the world.
