Tuesday for me on Hive means three tune tuesday...

It's Tuesday and of course that means it's inspiration time!!

This is a local band who I have been meaning to make a ttt about for a few weeks.

In fact ever since I heard them on talksport of all places. The breakfast show, if you know Coisty then you know he is a huge music fan.

Well Raith Rovers our local football team from Kirkcaldy were in the playoff against Ross County to get into the Scottish Premiership.

A step too far it turned out, but it reintroduced me to this band.

So a wee tribute to Shambolics coming up!

It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!

Shambolics - Universal Credit

They say some of their influences are Oasis and The Beatles and they are a little rough around the edges.

Universal Credit is the dole or what used to be called UB40 (yes that is where they got their name from).

If you are unemployed you can get Universal Credit (some people do), so this song is taking the piss out of the whole setup.

Great song to kick us off from their debut album.

Shambolics - Never Be Mine

Although they are from Kirkcaldy in Fife, they are now based in Glasgow which of course has a much bigger music scene.

What you do find is that their videos do have many outdoor locations from Glasgow as indeed Never Be Mine does.

I love upbeat the tune is, even if the lyrics might not be!

Shambolics - Losing Your Mind

The video, well the pictures are of Scotland life back in the day, and brings back memories!

Some say I lost my mind a long time ago!

This is a great band and I would love to see them go all the way.

Universal Credit really hits home to the state of current, most enjoyable new band actually singing about what they see, very similar to bands they enjoyed.

Dreams, schemes and young teams sounds spot on, a band to follow into the future. Perhaps interview at the end stole the show....

You nailed it, the picsand backdrops they use in alot of their songs are reminiscent from the 70s and 80s and even earlier, so yes similar eras to the bands that influenced them Joan.

The interview was great, the Scottish interviewed is Ally McCoist and absolute Scottish and Rangers football legend.

You know how I love to respond to your tunes with all focus so I apologise for only replying now.

First song! Ha! Okay... I am laughing but then it is catchy. I like it... really. LMAO. Guy is angry he maintained his 'Steeze'...

Not so upbeat at all.. the lyrics of the second one. And stay all day in bed? I know a certain old wizard that does that often...👀... I love the outdoorsy theme... it is really cool

Jesus!!! What is this third song? It is soooooo me. Melachonlic vibes. So going into my playlists. How do you find these guys?!!! I love the third track. Fuck me... It is so tugging at my heart strings and heartbreaking... Wow!

I barely heard a word they said. I can't get that accent at all🤣

But the song... Why does it feel like they are talking to me? Such vibrant and 'young' lyrics...

My favourite is a tie Eddie.

Losing Your Mind and Dreams, Schemes and Young Teams. I like this two a lot.

As for accents, they are from the town I live in now, so the real ones speak like that hehe.

Yes Universal Credit made me laugh as it is so true, but the second one I choose because of the outdoor shots, well one reason.

I was just chuffed to find some new music and finding them from this town made it all the sweeter.

Those guys are pretty good, I hadn't heard of them before. And most certainly didn't know UB40 came from! They may be a little rough around the edges but that's what makes them good. How long have they been producing music?
