Hello Hello Hivians.
Every Friday I see @bozz write a cracking finance friday post, and it seems that today I have stumbled into joining in the fun!
Fridays are my side hustle days
As Mrs T is off work on a Friday, the joys of working four days a week, I tend to not do my primary work on a Friday. If I am going to work then I would much rather try to do some of my side hustles that are often talked about in @mmonline.
Today I had a couple of things lined up. And I shall talk about them in reverse order!
On the way to the leisure centre for our Friday gym, swim and sauna session, we walk past a national phone store. Every three months or so I go said phone store to perform a mystery shop on their staff, and I had arranged to do a mystery shop there this morning.
That would also give Mrs T some time to look at some charity shops.
Then we met up and went to the leisure centre.
This was the view last Friday when we had our annual Links Market down on the Esplanade.
It is Europe's longest street fair and I keep meaning to make a dedicated post to it.
So that was what we did last Friday instead of the gym or any side hustle works!
Back to today and the first item on the list.
I am a member of umpteen panels and forums and one of these contacted me last week about a possible user interview session.
These generally involve getting on a Zoom type call online, and having a chat with a researcher or product designer. They will run through what they are doing and get feedback from you as you use something or discuss feedback and what you do.
Often it is a new app and you play with it online and say your likes and dislikes. They are fun sessions and pay pretty well. I have had £150 for an hour before. Today though, was not as lucrative but it intrigued me as it was to do with crypto.
Today was to be a customer experience interview with a couple of guys from coinmarketcap.com.
The interview was only scheduled for thirty minutes and it was all about cryptocurrency, which of course you would fluffing expect as it was Coinmarketcap.
They asked what apps I used and what I look for in a crypto app. It was a product designer and a product manager, it turns out they are releasing something in May.
The view from the leisure centre window as the fair was leaving
They asked what I do in crypto and of course I brought up Hive. As with so many people involved in crypto they had not heard of Hive.
Not to worry as I extolled our virtues to them. We got talking about AI and how I use it and which AI apps I use. I got back to Hive and explained about LeoAI and the language model being trained there.
I piqued their interest.
Not bad for someone who is so negative about Hive!
That was just the first shill of the day, as during my mystery shop at the phone store, I was asked what I use my phone.
Come in Crypto and in came Hive again!
All that yapping shilling and exercise had got me hungry, and so we stopped off for a sandwich and a steaming mug of tea at the cafe at the bus station!
Thanks so much for popping in and may you have a fluffing awesome weekend.
