Hi Everyone,

This trip to Thailand was a last-minute decision as I could get the concert tickets online so I had to decide quickly. Luckily Hubby said he would be fine with the little ones so without hesitation, I just went ahead with the trip. We just came back from Japan not long ago so flying so quickly again seemed strange and this time solo. Due to the time limitation, I wasn't able to get sale tickets so I booked Thai Airways for my 2 week trip.

I flew on a weekday and was very lucky to get the whole row to myself. As it is a full-service flight, I was able to get two meals and snacks on my 10 hour flight. Yes, the flight is as long as flying over to Japan! The only downside is the movie selection, compared to ANA or JAL, the selection was pretty boring. However, I did watch a few movies and did some work on the laptop. I did try to sleep a little but it was a morning flight so it wasn't a long sleep.

Food wise, I chose curry rice for the main meal. The meal near arrival was all the same for everyone which was a chicken noodle. During the flight, I was a bit hungry while watching movies so asked for a snack. They gave me a few selections so I chose cheese and nuts. They were very generous and I was happily enjoyed the rest of my movie. The flight overall was pretty smooth (thank goodness) and the toilets were very clean. The staff was friendly and at no time I felt neglected. They also frequently gave out water which was much needed in the dry cabin.

I've gone over with a full suitcase with gifts for friends and other people who I will meet. After arrival, I took the BTS to my hotel and the hot weather hit me as we landed at the airport. Coming from Sydney which was 11 degrees that morning to 35 degrees when I arrived, my body needed to adjust quickly!

Your spontaneous decision to go to the concert is quite bold and adventurous. It was interesting to read about your experience flying Thai Airways and how you spent your time watching movies and working on your laptop. Adapting to the hot climate of Thailand after leaving Sydney was also an adventure😄 Thank you for sharing🙏🏻
