It is getting warmer nowadays as we head into summer season and at times it can become unbearable and it's my first time writing in GEM community. While 36-37 degree Celsius might be a norm for many living in other parts of the world, this is a new norm for us in my country as we are more used to 33-34 degree Celsius. And this impact from global warming, is getting worse with each year.
People are hiding at home or at air-conditioned malls nowadays, gone are the days where we see many people on the streets. And it does feel very uncomfortable, especially in my country where it is hot and humid, to go around with a sweaty or partially soaked tee-shirt or top. Was telling my wife that we should hurry home after our lunch at a neighbourhood coffeeshop because we were sweating.
And that is where we chanced upon this shop in the cover photo and decided to head in a have a look and perhaps find something that can cool us down.

Upon entering the shop, I like what I saw.
A very well renovated shop with a very classy interior. Nice seating options with a sofa even catered for those whom come in for takeaways or even another possible seating option should the shop run out of space. Just as we settled down, we saw a young girl feeling ever so excited and looking into the display refrigerator telling her mummy the flavours she wanted. This feels like how I was back then as a young boy whom loves his ice cream.
To make ourselves happy and to try out both the ice cream and waffles, we ordered 2 scoops of ice cream on a waffle and came back to our seats.
Very nice and simple furniture and cozy seating area. Everything including the ambience just felt so comfortable. Gone are the sweat and sticky feeling after we settled down as we waited for our order to be served.
Here it came, a nicely made waffle that had 2 scoops of ice cream on it and we can't wait to devour them to ease off some heat that is trapped within us. And before we devour, a close up on the ice cream we ordered.
The first flavour we ordered is peach tieguanyin (Chinese tea flavour). This is a really good fusion of flavours. The peached is the caramelized peach pieces on top of the ice cream which has a mixture of sweetness and some sour zest to it and when mixed with the Chinese Tea infused ice cream with a hint of bitter taste, it balance out everything and made it an awesome ice cream to savour.
Another nice blend of flavours with the ice cream that had a good mix of sweet and light sour zest together with cookie bits within to bring balance to the flavours and add a little crunch to eat bite.
Really good ice cream served and for the waffle, it was done well, nice and fluffy. This was a totally satisfying experience which will make me want to come back again.
It did seem that my day is well balanced, from hot to cold, from sweet to sour, everything just came to neutral. And that's probably what we should all try, when we are feeling sad, we something that make us happy, when we are feeling irritated, find something that make us comfortable.
