Had this super delicious bowl of oyster mee suah yesterday. For RM19 the bowl was loaded with these mini oysters that were plump and juicy. Extremely generous with the portion of oysters that the noodles seemed little compared to it.
The broth was a clean fish flavored broth with preserved vegetables, fried shallots and chinese celery leaves. It also had some seaweed but didn't flavor the soup, and more of a treat on its own. I really enjoyed every last drop of the warm soup especially during the rainy weather.
They give you a triple saucer plate that you can go to their sauce station to load up. I picked fried garlic, more fried shallots to add to the soup, and a green chili and coriander sauce that had tangy citrus notes I'm guessing from lime juice. Super refreshing and paired perfectly with the oysters.
Highly recommended Teochew food and looking forward to try their other dishes like their fish and seafood porridge and noodles.
