This place has been on my list for a while. Many told me I should have checked it out because the place is trendy. To be fair, I hate trendy place but another pros that people told me is that this spot is co-working friendly. You can sit for hours and nobody is going to rush you to leave. Since I’ve been cooped up for days now, I needed to see the outside world. The place is called Couvee.
When I arrived at 10 AM, I wasn’t expecting I wouldn’t get any seat. The place was already crowded with people in front of their laptop, punching away their keyboards and laser focused eyes. While 10 AM is somewhat late for me, I didn’t expect the place to be that crowd but apparently, it does.
This place is in the same building as government owned banking BRI. It’s not the best bank in my opinion & has terrible service but somehow a lot of people are using it. Half of my family work in that bank and I certainly have some biased opinion. In that place, the banking counter and the coffee area are close to each other. It’s the first time I am seeing a banking service next to a coffee country. Can you imagine working in that spot? it’s like you get good quality coffee as long as the place opens.
Since the place is also a banking spot, they have security that works for the bank. They open doors for you & greet you whenever you come in and out. The place is quite nice and friendly. Unfortunately, going there at 10 AM means no spot left for you on the first floor.
The coffee menu is quite varied and I ended up getting java. It was double shot espresso with milk. I did not expect the coffee would be that good. I also ordered their donuts. It’s so affordable yet so good. I wanted to go back there for the donuts. I have to say that I certainly didn’t expect the coffee and the donuts would be good. Sadly, the place wasn’t really working friendly and while it’s not too noisy, the place was pretty hot. I ended up going back to my favorite place, Hayati for another shot of great filtered coffee. Then, it rained and I went back. But I just realized how cumbersome going outside can be.
It’s like you have to look presentable, you have to wear something nice etc. I mean technically I can go out looking like hobo but it’s a self-improvement thingy that I do because I want to look presentable when going outside these days. Maybe I should stop complaining so much about it too :D
