Thank goodness there are better WhatsApp alternatives out there. I personally mostly frequent Telegram, did heard about Signal but haven't tried it yet.
The advantage of Signal is that it is owned by a non profit organisation.
I use signal and all sorts of messaging. It's so hard to stay away from Whatsapp living in Indonesia because my family and friends use it.
I think the problem is worldwide. I may convince my close family, but indeed friends and all the whatsapp groups that I'm in will be a problem.

I'm glad to report this snap is being made from my own custom android app. about 8 hours of work, and I got something functional. It's still very basic, but it's working.
I think we need an app like this, directly for snaps and in some way that's very simple for general use. Of course it's a challenge, but we can think of something to help too.

Very nearly ready for our big Slovenia trip next week. Camera gear loaded up, firmware updated and early Saturday morning, we shall load the last of the kayaks onto the hire van. Matt and I are driving. Tina is flying with the rest of the group to Ljubljana
We will all be congregating on Sunday at Bovec. My shared drive with Matt will take us through many countries on the way down to Slovenia, which will certainly include, France, Germany, perhaps Italy/Austria. We are splitting it over two days - close to 1000 miles.

Just like yesterday we had 157 Snaps yesterday. It seems to be stable around the 150 mark.
I received some reactions in the pas days of people that are wondering if this number are all Snaps. And the answer is no! The number of Snaps including reaction on them is: 463

That's almost two comments for every Snap on average! Quite some engagement I think.
only if you put it 'on average', i think around 60-70% of those snaps have no engagement at all...

Yes, this is a form of eucalyptus -- very aromatic -- I had not thought of collecting them, but in the fall that definitely is a thought ... a nice, strong tea base...
I have some trigger time on a slightly older Model 10 with a fixed firing pin. These are fun, reliable, accurate, wonderfully fitted even for the bare-bones basic model, and still not completely obsolete despite being 126 years old at its core design.

I believe that many still continue on the threads because they were the first to arrive on the microblogging scene. There's a lot of promotion and value to be gained there, we need to be competitive with the snaps too to attract attention of the people.
