Made this for staff supper — spaghetti bake. A simple all in one pan bake that's basically tomato sauce and spaghetti. My choice of protein was smoked duck breast as that was what we had that was already ready to go.
The tomato sauce was a simple one of just onions and garlic then I added in canned tomatoes, cooked it down in olive oil, and seasoned with salt and pepper.
Next, cooked spaghetti is mixed in with the sauce then into a oven proof tray, topped with a generous amount of mozzarella cheese and parmesan sprinkled on top before going into a 220°C oven to bake for 20 minutes. For the spaghetti I cooked it slightly under al dante to avoid overcooking it in the oven.
Crusty on the top with the melty and goey cheese, perfect bite to the spaghetti and a nice smokey and saltiness coming from the duck making it an indulging supper to end a long shift.
