Heute lief mein ganzer Tag darauf hinaus, dass ich Vorbereitungen für meinen Urlaub / helfen bei der Olivenernte vorbereitet habe. Also ich werde jetzt für eine Woche nach Griechenland fliegen und dabei der Vorbereitung für die Olivenernte halt helfen. Dementsprechend nicht ganz Urlaub. Ist natürlich jetzt nicht so, dass ich da jetzt jeden Tag acht, neun Stunden ackern muss, sondern einfach pro Tag so zwei, drei Stunden. Einfach um da ein bisschen was zu unterstützen und den Rest der Zeit kann ich dann mich auf der Insel so gesehen ein bisschen frei bewegen. Das ist das erste Mal, dass ich zu der Jahreszeit in Griechenland bin und diesmal vor allem auch alleine. Das heißt meine Freundin bleibt zu Hause, nur ich fliege. Ist jetzt auch ein bisschen ungewohnt, aber dementsprechend heute ist echt nicht viel gelaufen. Wahnsinnig viel Wäsche gewaschen, noch ein bisschen aufgeräumt und ansonsten lief heute echt nicht viel.

Today, my entire day revolved around preparing for my trip or, rather, helping with the olive harvest preparations. I’m flying to Greece for a week, where I’ll help with the olive harvest. So, it’s not entirely a vacation. It’s not like I’ll be working eight or nine hours a day—just two or three hours a day to lend a hand. The rest of the time, I’ll have some freedom to explore the island. This will be the first time I’m in Greece at this time of year, and it’ll also be the first time I’m going alone. My girlfriend is staying home, so it feels a bit different. As for today, not much else happened—I did a ton of laundry, cleaned up a bit, and that’s about it.
Wie sieht es mit den Kalorien aus?
Ja, dreimal darf man dann auch raten, was es dann heute zu essen gab. Wenn ich schon eine Woche weg bin, gab es natürlich dann heute Döner. Selbst meiner Freundin wird es langsam ein bisschen zu viel und ich gebe ihr auch recht. Aber ich habe meine Stempelkarte jetzt voll. Das heißt, wenn ich wiederkomme, der erste Döner, den ich bekomme, der ist umsonst. Und hier haben unsere Döner-Bude aktuell so eine Stempelkartenaktion. Neun Döner kaufen, der zehnte ist dann umsonst. Hat sich also gelohnt.
What about the calories?
I’ll let you guess what I ate today. Since I’m leaving for a week, of course, I had döner again. Even my girlfriend is starting to get tired of it, and I agree with her. But I’ve filled up my stamp card now, which means that when I come back, the first döner I get will be free. Our local döner place has this stamp card promotion: buy nine döners, and the tenth one is free. So, it was worth it!
