My friend celebrated her belated birthday yesterday at Sugbo Wings. Since it's Friday night, a lot of diners flocked in the restaurant too so we had to wait for a good 30 minutes outside the restaurant. Good thing they close at 3AM so we don't have to worry about starting the celebration late.
I also noticed most diners here are students and young adults. Does this mean the oldies doesn't like chicken? If that's the case, we're not yet oldies then haha.
I don't know why my colleagues rave about their chicken wings. The last time I dined here, about 2 years ago, I can't remember anything remarkable about their food. Or maybe because it was long ago already and the menu have improved.
The birthday girl's beautiful Bischoff cake.
We ordered their chicken in 4 different flavor- yangyeom, jalapeno cheese, barbecue, and kalmado. These are their specialized menu as they only serve rice and chicken and nothing else.
Presentation wise, food looks mouth watering. I'm impressed how simple yet aesthetically pleasing their chicken wings are.
As for the taste, it also didn't disappoint. Like the chicken at Wingers, their chicken parts are no longer just wings but a variety of boneless chicken parts. My favorite is their yangyeom. The jalapeno cheese taste like cheese spread, which I appreciate least among the flavors.
The price are affordable too, perfect for family friends, and big groups. It's not unlimited though, but the serving is enough.
The ambiance of the place is elevated with their good accoustic band. Their playlist range from early 00s so it's pretty relatable. This place could pass for casual dates- not fancy but comfortable.
We spend the rest of the night cafe hoping and reminiscing like it's years-in-making reunion.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
