Well fair enough, we hardly use cutlass for FARMING in SA, we commonly use Hoe for weeding and planting crops mainly maize, nuts, sweet potatoes, etc.
A cutlass is used to cut tree branches or collect wood on this side. Otherwise, we normally run away with no question whenever we see it in the hands of any angry or madman. Yes, you read it correctly, "man not woman" 😅

Over here too, women don't mainly use cutlass in their farm duties, it's majorly hoe for planting.
Men are known for cutlass to tear down the forest.
