Since our garden is a total mess, my husband and I first went out to look for a grass trimmer or a lawnmower—just to check out the different types and prices. We visited a few garden centers to compare costs; the prices were more or less the same—battery-operated models were pricier, while corded ones cost less. We’re thinking of buying one, since we’ll need it for years now that we have a garden. Gardening tools are pretty expensive, though—it’s a shame how pricey everything is these days. Anyway, after visiting those shops, we went off to do some more shopping!

En fin, hoy tuve que salir a hacer algunos recados. Como nuestro jardín está hecho un desastre, mi marido y yo fuimos primero a buscar una bordeadora o un cortacésped, solo para ver los distintos tipos y precios. Visitamos varios centros de jardinería para comparar costes; los precios eran más o menos iguales: los modelos a batería eran más caros, mientras que los que funcionan con cable costaban menos. Estamos pensando en comprar uno, ya que lo necesitaremos durante años ahora que tenemos jardín. Sin embargo, las herramientas de jardinería son bastante caras; es una pena lo mucho que cuesta todo hoy en día. En fin, después de visitar esas tiendas, ¡nos fuimos a hacer más compras!
We both use headphones because of our work schedules and also because we sometimes watch different things—TV series, matches, and so on. We had a pair that were a bit worn out, so we went out to buy a new, inexpensive model; they only cost us thirteen euros but are excellent—the sound quality is great, they connect to all devices without issues, they’re easy to use, and they’re very comfortable. Finally, we stocked up on fruit, since we eat a lot of it in the summer—or rather, my husband does. We got lucky and found apricots and peaches—my husband’s favorites—on sale, so I stocked up; I bought a kilo of peaches for three euros, which is a great price. Ambos usamos auriculares debido a nuestros horarios de trabajo y también porque a veces vemos cosas distintas: series, partidos, etcétera.
