In the midst of the Western Australian gold boom, the Perth Mint opened on June 20, 1899. The mint will commemorate its 125th anniversary in 2024, a significant turning point in its illustrious past.
Limited to 150,000 1 oz silver coins featuring the kookaburra, koala, and kangaroo were made in honor of The Perth Mint's 125th anniversary. Issued as legal currency under the Australian Currency Act of 1965, the coin is struck by The Perth Mint from one ounce of.9999 pure silver.

- Reverse: Portrays the koala, kangaroo and kookaburra artfully arranged in a golden wattle, which is Australia's national floral emblem. On a scroll, the years 1899 and 2024 are struck, signifying the 125 years that The Perth Mint has been in operation. The coin's weight and fineness along with the 2024 and the "P125" privy mark complete this design.
