About a week ago, I was diagnosed with a serious issue where my blood pressure is no longer OK, and I was forced on medication before I can leave the medical facility. Blood pressure control medication is one fo the thing that I will NEVER agree of. I am not a qualified medical personnel, so I am just going to save up a 500,000 words thesis here explaining my opinion about why suppressing blood pressure without changing lifestyle is a regression equation. It fix the problem temporary, but sooner or later, the solution become a bigger problem.
I'm not going to pretend I know a lot, but these are the facts that we live here, we tell the stories in this country. Malaysia is a multi racial, multi cultural, multi ethnics hybrid breeding ground. I'm not referring to interracial marriage(despite it's happening more than I can imagine), I am referring to cultural and food recipe wise. As we all agree, food that taste good are usually demonic 😈 we get to enjoy and explore every good food from a different ethnicity, sometimes(I think more than often) we cross breed good food from different cultural backgrounds. I just realized, why would I eat Dim Sum with mayonnaise as condiments 🤣
Human desire is one of the worst Satan living within our mind, it's in our heart, our brain, and in our soul. When we wanted something ever so badly, we will give trillions of excuses. We knew certain things are harmful, but the minime version of satanic me within will tell a different story.
So, here I am. I am still doing my very best to keep my Satan at bay. My ex-gurlfriend helped me up by preparing fresh fruits, vege sticks for my snacks, so I won't go for potato chips. I am also feeding myself with sweet potatoes to keep my stomach full. My only problem is on some occasion when I am needed to eat out, that's where my Satan will drive me to hell. Here's some recorded Satan wins, some partial win.
We usually go to Sunday family breakfast at the street full off indian shops. I usually order Puri at this stall because they're fluffy, crunchy and the curry potatoes mesh are freaking delicious. This time around, I went with dosai. By the book, it's not fried, so it should be less harmful compare to puri, but the chutney coconut shave, I doubt the calories is low. Milk tea without sugar, the term without sugar is a sin to someone who enjoys teh tarik 😂 anyway, I hold up to it without sugar.
Again, it's Sunday. Gotta be with the family, so we went out for lunch at the mall. Once again, milk tea ice, but without sugar. I think, I should really consider to stop having cold drinks. Without the "sweetness", it's just absolutely awkward to have this kind of cold beverages.
I know I should be ordering soup noodle instead, but I allowed Satan win. Dried noodle is so tasty because it takes a huge amount of soy sauce to seasoning it up, together with huge amount of oil to keep the noodles lubricated. Not to mentioned the amount of fried onions and the heavily processed meat paste.
Dinner with the family at the Chinese restaurant. Boiled spinach works just fine. I don't hate this kind of vege. Steamed egg is good, at least it taste better than tofu. The problem being, it has also being heavily seasoned. And the sweet and sour spicy Thai style squid, I don't even want to think about the cholesterol I'm taking in. These all happened within 1 day all day eat out. My weight shot up from morning before breakfast 79.6kg to 82kg the next day woke up😂
I know the idea of who am I kidding. My body is the only host I've been clinging on my whole life. If I don't take care of it, who else will? Lunch with client, decided to go with noodle soup. Not the best I know, having soup meaning I can avoid drinking it.
One of the day, full day vege. By late noon, I was too hungry. Stopped by one of the restaurant around the housing area, kaya butter toast, half boiled eggs and a cup of tea to satisfy hunger. Once again, not the healthiest but it's slightly less "processed".
Do you guys eat half boiled eggs? Some said the texture make them feel like vomiting. For me, it's just the raw form of mayonnaise 🤤 goes well with my toast bread.
Here I am. Back to basic. Boiled vege, fried fish, and a bowl of celery soup and fish balls. This is considered on of the healthiest kind of lunch I can find within my budget. Still, this took away RM13 from me. If I get a plate of mix rice, it will most probably set me back less than 10 and way more filling.
